Paulette Meier

Paulette Meier has had a long career in K-8 schools as a mental health specialist, a trainer of teachers and students in creating peaceable classrooms, an advocate for children with behavior problems, and as a classroom teaching assistant. She has always incorporated music and singing into her work with children, both as a way to help children remember the concepts they’ve learned and as a way to build a sense of unity and joy in the classroom. Paulette’s original songs grew out of her social-emotional learning work with elementary and middle school age students in rural Kentucky and urban Cincinnati areas. The songs reflect her passion for helping children understand the conflicts in their lives and how to handle them in creative and productive ways, and they have inspired students around the country now for years.
