Erna Walker

Erna was born in Norway, the youngest of 7 childen in a very musical and artistic family. Her father was first violinist in Stavanger Symphony, and a music teacher, and her mother was a Florist with a beautiful voice. Her home was always filled with music and everyone played instruments - except Erna. She would rather sing! Erna settled in the US and married an an Irish tenor music major with whom she often sang duets. Erna has 3 children, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Her hobbies include grandchildren, painting, reading, and Nutrition Education. She is the retired corporate director at ZCMI in Salt Lake City, Utah when she became concerned with obesity in her grandchildren and children in general. She states, "I felt a need to be an influence to encourage in some way to change that....and why not through music. They learned the alphabet and the states through a song, and never forgot it!" Erna got together with friends created "Veggie Power" She is grateful for Produce for Better Health that distributed this for 13 years selling thousands of CDs to their customers.  She hopes this CD has made a difference.
