Hola mis amigos,
Hello, my friends.
We hope you enjoy the songs.
Learn them and sing right along.
Hola!
SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES: Singing and Gross Motor Skills
This is a wonderful song to begin the school day. It also works beautifully to introduce a concert
or performance. In the classroom children can casually sit or stand. In performance, children
can be standing in a straight line facing the audience.
Hola mis amigos (wave the right hand)
Hello, my friend (wave the left hand)
We hope you enjoy the songs. (march in place & tap knees)
Learn them and sing right along. (clap hands)
Hola! (jump up and throw arms high in the air)
The song can be sung a second time, with the children facing each other in pairs. (You can use
the “Adios Mis Amigos” Karaoke track for singing twice through, which has two verses).
Facing as couples creates a dance pattern which is fun to do and watch. When the children get
to the clapping part, they can do patty-cake with their partners. They can sing the same above
verse twice or try these words. (Feel free to make up your own verses, and/or translate this
song into Spanish)
How are you, mi amigo? (wave to each other with the right hand)
How are you, my friend? (wave with the left hand)
I hope you are having a very good day, (march in place & tap knees)
It’s so good to see you again. (patty-cake)
Hola! (jump and throw up hands)
