Songs and StoriesThat Celebrate Global Light
The Muslim holiday Ramadan means "the month that burns." Muslims believe that the doors of heaven are opened, the doors of hell are closed and that all their sins will burn away during Ramadan. During Ramadan, Muslims spend more time with their families, and practice being more generous, patient and kind. They do good deeds and practice what the Quran teaches. They also fast from dawn to dusk for the entire month
I have some friends and they are Muslim.
Their families celebrate Ramadan.
The ninth month of the lunar year,
Their families celebrate Ramadan
Ramadan, Ramadan.
Their families celebrate Ramadan.
Every morning they get up,
And have a big meal before the light.
They don't eat and they don't drink.
They fast until the dark of night.
During Ramadan, Ramadan.
Their families celebrate Ramadan.
On the first day of the month that follows Ramadan
The families invite us to the feast that they put on
I have some friends and they are Muslim.
Their families celebrate Ramadan.
They read the Quran and they pray,
Worshipping five times a day.
Ramadan, Ramadan.
Their families celebrate Ramadan.
Ramadan, Ramadan.
Their families celebrate Ramadan.
Ramadan Mubarak (have a blessed Ramadan) Ramadan.
