Head Start Song
Written for Head Start Programs by "Miss Jackie" Silberg

  Listen to this song.

This song is available in MP3 format, along with printable music notation.

Jackie Silberg's Head Start song was written in 1985 for the National Head Start Conference in Dallas, Texas. Jackie sang and taught it to the audience at the start of the opening Head Start meeting
Copyrighted to Jackie Silberg, this Head Start Song continues to be performed at many Head Start programs throughout the United States. The words express all of the important skills that Head Start teaches young children, and is intended to foster self-esteem.

Look at me
Look at me
I'm a Head Start kid.

Look at me
Can't you see
I'm a Head Start kid.

And everywhere I go
I want the world to know
I'm a Head Start Kid.

I like my colors.
I like my numbers.....
.....

This song is available in MP3 format, along with printable music notation.
